Founded in 1970 the League Of Black Women (LBW) has dedicated itself to developing partnerships that result in the creation of career leadership development linking business to advancement of intellectual capital in the black community. Since its’ inception, the League Of Black Women has excelled in its mission and has delivered world class research and leadership education programs in support of talent engagement and professional development. The theme for this years conference, Bringing You The Leadership Power Of Tomorrow’s Jobs Today!, reflects the LBW’s forward thinking on the prospects for growth opportunity in our industry.
Leaders from major corporations are expected to participate in 4 days of highly evaluated forums, seminars and executive presentations. The conference also allows us to brand ourselves to a broad spectrum of talent, a chance to network to grow our business relationships and the enhancement of my business acumen. As an active member (or supporter) of LBW, I would like to present some background information on the organization. LBW has:
- Presented LBW research to global audiences at the EU Commission
- Met with The White House Council On Women and Girls
- Produced leadership education programs for Fortune 500 companies
- Provided conference scholarships to HBCU students
- Produced the new leadership research survey,“Risk and Reward,” on the prospects for engagement and career advancement for top talent

The investment made for my attendance will pay dividends long after the conference has concluded as LBW provides year long support.
